The Preludes is a love story set in modern day New York City. The characters are richly drawn, the dialog lively and the supporting characters provide depth and meaning to the larger narrative. It opens a window into what a serious grown-up relationships looks like. You also learn a lot about classical music, the lives of artists who pursue this calling and thoughtful insight into the challenges of doing business in China. Don't worry, it all works. Also, (spoiler alert) happy ending.
